Campaign Footer links

Campaign footer links are the links you usually see at the bottom of an email. They give your Contacts control over the emails and help keep your messages compliant and trusted.

Who can use this feature? All Staff

Available on: Free, Starter, Growth, Advanced and Ultimate

Making the important links clear and visible is something that will benefit you in the long run. Without these links, the chances of getting spam reports are higher. They let your Contacts easily:

  • Unsubscribe - stop getting your emails.
  • Update Profile - change their email preferences or personal info.
  • Report Junk - mark the email as spam if they don’t want it.
  • View in browser - open an alternate version of the page layout or format.

Default links will be automatically injected into the footer of all Campaigns sent from Transpond. Find out how to customize the display text in this section.

On the Free plan, Campaign Footers will also include a Transpond banner, as shown above. To remove this, you can upgrade your account to a paid plan.

If you would prefer to create your own links, this can be done using Merge Tags. To do this:

  1. Add your chosen text to your Campaign
  2. Highlight the text > Choose the icon to Insert Link
  3. In the Website Address field, select Insert Merge Tag
  4. From the list, choose the Merge Tag you want to insert. The table below will give you details on which Merge Tag to select:
Link Type Merge Tag What it does
Unsubscribe {{{__UNSUBSCRIBE_URL}}}       Enters the URL for the Unsubscribe Landing page
Update your Profile {{{__UPDATE_URL}}}       Enters the URL for the Update your Profile Landing page
Report as Junk {{{__JUNK_URL}}}       Enters the URL to mark the email as Junk
View in Browser {{{__PREVIEW_URL}}}      Enters the URL to view the email in a browser

  1. Click Save Link, and repeat the process for any others. Now when you send your Email Campaign, your links will be used instead.

Links won’t function when previewing a template in Transpond, but they will work in your final Campaign or in Test emails.
