Importing Email Templates

If you've already created an email template, you don't need to recreate it from scratch.

Transpond provides several ways to import existing templates depending on where they came from.

Upload an HTML or ZIP file

If your template already exists as an HTML file, you can upload it directly into Transpond.

ZIP files should contain:

  • An HTML file
  • A folder named images containing any images used by the template

Once uploaded, your template is available to use in campaigns.

Copy a template from another Transpond account

You can quickly move templates between Transpond accounts using the Share feature.

In the original account

  1. Go to Campaigns > Templates
  2. Click the 3 dots next to the Template > Share.
  3. Copy the generated code.

In the destination account

  1. Go to Campaigns > Templates.
  2. Click Add Template.
  3. Choose Import Existing.
  4. Paste the code.

The imported template keeps its design, merge tags and content.

Import a webpage

If you've already published content on a website, you can import that page into Transpond to use as the basis for an email template.

This can save time when repurposing blog posts, announcements or other web content for email campaigns.

Depending on how the webpage was built, you may need to make some adjustments after importing to ensure the email looks the way you expect.

Things to know

  • Templates imported from HTML remain code-based templates.
  • Templates imported from other platforms, such as Mailchimp, are edited using the code editor rather than the Drag & Drop Editor.
  • If you need a fully editable Drag & Drop template, create it using the Drag & Drop Editor instead.
